"Happy New Year, All!"
Wishing or working for 2010 to be another year of achievement and fun in PLYC?
Ice-sailors have been water-walking across Pigeon Lake on some very nice ice recently. . .
Hardy souls that gang! They're really making the best of what others consider bad. All hail their stamina and spirit!!
Thanks to Rob, the transition is happening!
We hope you--guest or member--will use this thread-of-our-web to spin your thoughts and comments to advance PLYC. . . It's your Club!!
Enjoy the Season!!
As the new Webmaster, I have inherited from Eric a well designed website to maintain. Thank you Eric for all your hard work in this endeavour. I am also open to any suggestions members might have regarding the use of this website or what (if any) additional features should be included in it. Websites are fluid and are here for the use of its members as well as the public.
I would like to echo the comments below of Anne-Animous regarding the August 8th regetta. It was truly great. It was the first regatta that I have ever been in. Although, Ted and I may need some
polishing on our sailing skills, it was fun. I had a great time. Congratulations again to the organizers. The sailing was great, the food was great and the camaraderie at the club was even
better.
Best regards,
Don Shepherd (Ted Shepherd's brother)
Great "Invitational Regetta," August 8! Even the weather cooperated. Good races! Exceptional sailing! Especially by Jiri and family with their Red, Red Line! Fab fun for 19 boats! Including our three
young bloods on the water doing their thing... They're our future!!
None of which would have been possible without THE rock of PLYC Skippering the Committee Boat!! As usual, Don Forgie and his crew--Dave Holloway, Joanna Catterson and in alphabetical order, Roger
Morrison willingly worked so others could play...
BIG THANKS to everyone who helped maintain the rep of PLYC as "The Best Lil Club in the Kawarthas!"
Thanks to those who help make PLYC a GREAT place to be:
Phil, for keeping things picked-up, neat & clean...
Don, for filling sink-holes, raking the boat yard AND for his devotion to the weekly races! PLYC without Don Forgie is impossible to imagine!
Thanks too to the many un-named who anonymously serve quietly keeping things in order. You are all much appreciated...
The old Club House should be called the following:
1. The Boat Booth (Bobcaygeon Fair from where it came)
2. The Pigeon Coop (Pigeon Lake Yacht Club)
3. The Junk (Chineese Junk) because it is full of junk
4.The Square(the shape of it)
THIS WEBSITE IS AWESOME. THANKS ERIC,
Thanks to everyone for getting the new website up and running. It looks wonderful!
